Renewable Energy Program Introduced

Two Rivers Water & Light is pleased to introduce our Renewable Energy Program to our customers. Through this program you have the opportunity to purchase electricity that is produced from environmentally friendly resources such as water, wind, and organic materials.

By utilizing renewable energy we will be able to preserve some of our precious natural resources such as coal, natural gas, and oil. The renewable energy that you choose to purchase will replace electricity that would have been generated by the conventional fuel sources. Although no source of electricity is completely free from environmental impacts, renewable energy creates very little, if any, air emissions and residual waste.

Many renewable resources like wind, sunlight, and moving water are free. However, the technology for capturing this energy is still more expensive than traditional power plants. Your support for the Renewable Energy Program will enable us to increase the amount of "clean, green" resources that are a part of our power supply.
