Rubber Goods Testing & Replacement

If you are a large commercial and industrial customer, some of your employees (i.e. electricians, engineers, maintenance staff) may be working around electric equipment rated at 480 volts (or greater). Without proper protection around electric equipment, these employees are placed at risk for an electric accident. Protection such as rubber gloves, rubber sleeves, and leather protectors can reduce the risk of an electric accident. We recommend that a small investment into the safety of your employees be made with some electric protection equipment.

Although electric protection equipment is not provided to our customers by Two Rivers Water & Light, our staff can provide you with a list of vendors who can provide you with equipment and testing services for the equipment. Testing of the equpment must be completed every six months. All equipment and inspection/testing services meet national, state, and utility safety standards.

Substation Maintenance & Repair

These services prevent costly repairs, reduce transformer downtime, reduce outages, avoid emergency repairs, and extend transformer life.

Transformer Oil Testing

Working with a licensed vendor, Two Rivers Water & Light offers a competitive and efficient method of testing transformer oils for PCB content, combustible gas, oil quality, moisture content, power factor, DBPC oxidation inhibitor, wear metals and viscosity to improve reliability and transformer life expectancy.

Weed Spraying

Through arrangements with a professional vendor, Two Rivers Water & Light will coordinate effective, cost saving, season-long weed control on designated areas (i.e. substations, parking areas, along fence lines). Spraying is completed in the spring of each year, so contact Two Rivers Water & Light by late winter if you would like to participate in this program.
