Scholarships available

WPPI Energy and Two Rivers Water & Light is offering a scholarship for local high school students. The $500 scholarship will be presented to a high school senior who plans to attend a two-year technical college or a four-year university.

Applicants will be judged on a variety of criteria, including academic and extracurricular achievement, work and volunteer experience and future career goals.

WPPI Energy and Two Rivers Water & Light is also offering a $500 scholarship for students seeking a career as an electric lineworker. The scholarship is available to students enrolling in an Electrical Power Distribution Program at a qualified community college or school.

Our scholarship program is designed to provide educational opportunities for promising local students and to promote awareness of Two Rivers’ community-owned utility. To be eligible to apply, students or their parents or guardians must be customers of Two Rivers Water & Light. Dependents of utility personnel are not eligible.

The deadline for scholarship applications is April 1, 2010.
