Honored for Outstanding Safety Practices
Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW) has awarded Two Rivers Water & Light with the 2017 MEUW Safety Achievement Award, Gold Level. This award places tremendous value on creating a safe working environment and is awarded to utilities that do substantial investing in terms of time and resources to ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of the work day. MEUW knows the true measure of a safety program is not only having zero incidents for the past year, but that it’s equally important to ensure the manner in which accidents don’t happen. In fact, this can be repeated year after year and includes all electric utility employees.
“Working day-in and day-out with electricity is not something we take lightly. We can’t afford to. Safety is the number one priority for our electric crew,” said Ken Kozak, Electric Utility Director.
MEUW is the state association representing the interests of Wisconsin’s locally owned, locally controlled municipal electric utilities.
